What Motivates You?
Finding the motivation to exercise can be difficult sometimes, but do not worry you are not alone!
Ask yourself the following 3 questions:
- Why is it that you want to exercise? It is very important to know your WHY. This will help keep you on track and give you some direction as to why you get up early in the morning to go for that walk on a cold winters morning.
- Do you have a goal that you would like to achieve? Something like wanting to beat you 5km run time, achieve a weight loss target or simply you just want to achieve the minimum guidelines of exercise per week of more than 150mins.
- Do you feel better after you exercise? Reflecting on how you feel after you exercise is extremely important. In most cases it will make you feel great, but if it does not then you may have to change the type of exercise you are performing or simply just change the amount you are doing.
Start with these 3 questions and see if the motivation starts flowing back. At the end of the day the most important thing is to do exercise that you enjoy doing!
