Positive Thinking

In our life’s journey, we will at some stage experience what I like to call – a “reality slap”. Whilst the degree of sting in the “slap” can certainly vary, so too can the way we respond. Whilst my story is not unique, what is truly special is having a team and a community of people who care, guide, support, challenge and encourage me. Vicky, Tamika, Shanyn and Hannah, along with my ‘Hydrotherapy’ and Monday morning ‘Strong and Steady’ buddies, have been instrumental in my rehabilitation to be the best I can be. Where else do you have a team of Exercise Physiologists who take time to really ‘see’ and know you, tailor exercises and programmes for you; whilst fostering interaction and care between the client community. Tips from fellow hydrotherapy buddies on the best attire to wear in winter after getting out of the pool, assistance in the pool, and offers of transport to these sessions, I will be forever grateful. A positive state of mind has also been key in my rehabilitation. Developing and maintaining this state does take determination, effort and time. Just remember, what we practice grows stronger. It is clear, that through my commitment to exercise and cultivating positive thinking, my health has improved and will continue to improve. I intend to be the best I can be, this is a priority for me and I will achieve this. Thank you Vicky, Tamika, Shanyn, Hannah and the True North Wellness community.
